This project is a new model home for Nagi no Ie, a housing company whose philosophy is "homes that should be left for the future."

We believe that a model home is not just a way to showcase one house, but also serves to demonstrate a housing philosophy that will be delivered to many families in the future.

Family life changes dramatically over time, with children being born and growing up, becoming independent, and changes in work styles and hobbies. However, many houses are built based on the lifestyle at the time of construction, so over time, unused rooms and wasted spaces are created.

Therefore, we planned this model house with the theme of "a home where a single space changes its role along with life."

The children's room will be converted into a shop, salon, or classroom in the future. The study corner will become a shop counter. The living room will become a guest room or a home theater. The entrance hall will not be a corridor, but a play area or relaxation space.

By creating spaces that are not limited in their purpose, a home naturally accommodates the changes in the family and becomes a vessel that will be cherished for a long time.

At the heart of the home is a large, open atrium reminiscent of a towering tree. This atrium connects the family's presence and conversations, while the high-quality air nurtured by the wood circulates throughout the entire house through BAQOOL's natural ventilation system. The unobstructed views and three-dimensional connections create a sense of spaciousness even in a compact home.

Furthermore, to allow for deployment on a variety of site conditions as a model home, the exterior and floor plan are designed to function even when reversed vertically and horizontally, and the design allows for free selection of materials, colors, and lighting. The aim was not to create a one-off home, but a series of homes that will be passed down and accompany the lives of many families.

Even as our lives change, our homes remain a constant companion.

That is our answer to the concept of "homes that should be preserved for the future," which we propose in the form of model houses.
